چکیده
Increasing air pollution has brought about the search for alternative fuels instead of conventional fuels. It is aimed to make existing internal combustion engines work with least structural changes. Natural gas (NG) one most recent fuel studies because it both cheaper and more environmen-tally friendly. In this study, was minimize dependence on petroleum-based by enabling an compression ignition (CI) engine operate spark NG. For reason, in heavy-duty diesel engine; modeled as 0/1-dimensional plug assembly injector low-pressure NG mounted intake manifold. Afterwards, perfor-mance, characteristics, emission values engine, which were converted NG, compared experimentally validated model. addition comparisons made under similar conditions, effects start (SOC) time Air/Fuel (A/F) ratio changes use performed parametrically. same observed that power, con-sumption, efficiency increased use. However, parametric use, improvement 84.5% achieved NOX without any performance loss

Experimental Study of Performance of Spark Ignition Engine with Gasoline and Natural Gas
The tests were carried out with the spark timing adjusted to the maximum brake torquetiming in various equivalence ratios and engine speeds for gasoline and natural gas operations. In thiswork, the lower heating value of gasoline is about 13.6% higher than that of natural gas. Based on theexperimental results, the natural gas operation causes an increase of about 6.2% brake special fuelconsumpt...
متن کاملThe Effects of Ethanol–gasoline Blend on Performance and Exhaust Emission Characteristics of Spark Ignition Engines
The effects of unleaded gasoline and unleaded gasoline–ethanol blends on engine performance and pollutant emissions were investigated experimentally in a single cylinder, four-stroke spark-ignition engine with variable engine speeds (2600–3500 rpm). Four different blends on a volume basis were applied. These are E0 (0% ethanol + 100% unleaded gasoline), E3 (3% ethanol + 97% unleaded gasoline), ...
متن کاملNumerical study of the effect of fuel injection timing on the ignition delay, performance parameters and exhaust emission of gas/dual fuel diesel engine using Computational Fluid Dynamics
Today, due to the various usage of compression ignition engines in urban transportation, as well as the need to reduce exhaust emissions and control fuel consumption, the use of alternative fuels has become common in diesel engines. Gaseous fuel is one of the most common alternative fuels that can be used in diesel engines. The utilization of alternative fuels in compression ignition engines re...
متن کاملPerformance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends
aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...
